AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER “CAB”

The former Ramey AFB Air Traffic Control Tower is being renovated by the Port Authority of Puerto Rico for use at the Rafael Hernandez International Airport of Aguadilla. She once again will be directing air traffic at the former Ramey AFB.

Before renovation began, the project architects and engineers visited the Museum to get some information on the Tower. We provided the information and became aware the Tower Cab itself was being discarded for a new one.

The Tower was priceless to the RAFBHA and we requested the opportunity be given to us to save the “cab” for display at the Museum. They agreed to do so and the rest is history.

We continue to work on the “cab” as funds become available. We look forward to your support in saving this unique piece of Ramey AFB History.
