Our old SAC AF base is in a whirlwind of changes. The International Airport now there supports major employers like FedEx and WASCO, and likely will remain in high growth by recent area designation as a “Free Trade Zone.” A dynamic Ramey community service group is restoring broken-down infrastrucure, like street signs. Major federal agencies, eg the Coast Guard and DEA, remain stalwart defenders of our beloved Peurto Rico. And RAFBHA’s Museum is gaining widespread national attention/interest from historiians and memorabilia buyers. Exciting times for the ol’ base.
