The Young Eagles is a program created by the US Experimental Aircraft Association designed to give children between the ages of 8 to 17 an opportunity to experience flight in a general aviation airplane while educating children about aviation. This program is supported with donations and ran by volunteers.
The Young Eagles and the parents that visited the Museum came from all over the Island. We were able to give these young men and women the history of aviation during the period of the Cold War along with the historical significance of the different periods of the Cold War.
We had a wonderful time together and enjoyed their visit as much as they enjoyed visiting the Museum.
