As you can see our previous street sign had seen better days. There was no doubt we needed a new one.
The signage text and graphics were agreed on, the banners printed and we were good to go
The price tag for ordering a galvanized aluminum frame was unacceptable to say the least. We decided to purchase the material ourselves and get to work.
A little welding here and a little drilling everywhere.
Everybody got into the act as we coordinated what days we could be available to advance this project.
All the volunteers found time to be there for each other.

The sign was welded to a metal post that held the original Hangar Gate during the Cold War days.
